Why Work Untethered

We’re creating something new. We’re building a community for women adventurers who are looking to connect on a deeper level with themselves and others. If you want to facilitate these connections and lead some pretty exciting expeditions into unmatched landscapes, then we’ve got a place for you.

Our work is all-encompassing when we are on trip. As an Untethered Guide, you’ll not only guide, but also teach backcountry skills, prepare food, familiarize clients with their gear, help set up and breakdown camp and meals, provide first aid, handle emergencies, and cultivate our community of women adventurers. You can expect to hike long hours, carry more weight than our clients, and be up before them and to bed after them—but this extra work is what makes Untethered trips unforgettable and creates lasting experiences.
